Welcome to Bugo.pk— Pakistan's location-based deals and discounts platform. We connect you with local offers near you.
This Privacy Policy explains how Heuristic Sol Pvt. Ltd. ("Bugo," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our website, mobile application, or related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By accessing or using Bugo.pk, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our Platform.
Information We Collect
Account Information
- Full name, email address, and phone number
- Password (stored in encrypted form — we never store plaintext passwords)
- Profile picture (if provided)
- City, area, or neighbourhood preference
Automatically Collected Data
- Device type, operating system, and browser version
- IP address and approximate location (city-level) from IP
- App usage logs — pages visited, deals viewed, coupons redeemed
- Referral source and search queries on the Platform
- Session duration, click behaviour, and scroll depth
Transactional Data
- Deal redemption history (which deals you claimed and when)
- Purchase records if payment processing is enabled
- Merchant ratings and reviews you submit
User-Provided Content
- Reviews, ratings, and feedback on deals or merchants
- Support tickets and communications with our team
- Responses to surveys or promotional campaigns
Location Data
Location is core to how Bugo.pk works. We use your location to show you deals from nearby merchants that are relevant to where you are right now.

We do not track your location in the background without your knowledge, and we do not sell your precise location data to third-party advertisers.

- Curate a personalised deals feed based on your browsing and redemption history
- Recommend new merchants or categories you may like
- Send location-based push notifications for deals near you (with your permission)
- Remember your category preferences (food, fashion, health, etc.)
Platform Improvement
- Analyse aggregated usage data to improve the user experience
- Debug technical issues and monitor Platform performance
- Conduct A/B testing to optimise features
- Generate anonymised analytics reports for internal use
Safety & Legal
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent deal redemptions
- Enforce our Disclaimer and Community Guidelines
- Respond to legal requests, court orders, or regulatory requirements
- Protect the rights and safety of our users and merchants
Data Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect it.
- All data is transmitted over TLS/SSL encrypted connections
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with appropriate salt rounds
- Sensitive data is encrypted at rest using AES-256
- Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis
- We conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available for all user accounts
- Breach notification — in the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and the relevant authority without undue delay
Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by Pakistani law.

When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised so it can no longer identify you.
Account & Data Deletion
You can delete your Bugo.pk account and associated personal data at any time. We provide deletion both inside the app and via a request to our team, in line with Apple App Store and Google Play requirements.
How to Delete Your Account
- In the app: go to Me → Settings → Account → Delete Account, then confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion immediately.
- By email: if you cannot access the app, email support@bugo.pk from your registered address with the subject "Delete my account". We may verify your identity before proceeding.
What Gets Deleted
- Your profile, login credentials, saved locations, and category preferences
- Your saved and claimed deals, favourites, and in-app activity history
- Reviews and ratings you submitted are removed or anonymised
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Some records may be retained only where the law requires it — for example, transaction records kept for tax and accounting purposes (see Data Retention). These are isolated from your profile and are not used to re-identify you.
Your Rights
As a user of Bugo.pk, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification — Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to Erasure — Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Right to Restrict Processing — Ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to Data Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to Object — Opt out of marketing communications or profiling at any time.
- Right to Withdraw Consent — Withdraw consent for location access or notifications at any time via app settings.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@bugo.pk. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing sensitive requests.
Children's Privacy
Bugo.pk is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at support@bugo.pk and we will promptly delete it.
Users between the ages of 13 and 18 should use the Platform only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Third-Party Links & Services
Bugo.pk may contain links to merchant websites, partner platforms, or third-party services. These external sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or data practices.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services before providing them with your personal information. Bugo is not liable for how external services handle your data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Send you an email notification (if you have an account with us)
- Display a prominent notice on the Platform for 30 days after the change
Your continued use of Bugo.pk after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
