Booking traps in shaadi season

• Slot scarcity beats price. From mid October the binding constraint is availability, not cost. The Rs 3,000 appointment you can actually get beats the Rs 2,000 one you cannot.
• Function morning slots go first. Anything between 8am and noon on a wedding day is gone weeks ahead. That window is the whole game.
• Trials are usually billed separately. A trial is often not included in the package price, and finding that out on the day is expensive. Confirm the trial fee, in writing, before you book.
• Two to three months ahead is the real lead time. For a December function, that means booking now, in late August or early September.
